Life holds many mysteries. Who would have thought one day I would become a professional painter? I myself would have never believed it; my artistic capacities were limited to a few sketches scribbled in lieu of homework for my children. But no one can escape its destiny.
Maybe the many years spent abroad in a land where women’s liberties to this day are still contested, and their rights restricted; were some sort of inspiration.
A recessed passion surfaced during a short stay in
Painting has become my only medium to truly express, feelings and emotions deeply hidden since childhood; which were waiting for the proper moment to come to life.
Painting has become my one and only preoccupation. In the beginning I undertook some classes with the renowned painter Mounir Alalousi, before participating at the 3rd “Salon Des Artistes Du Monde” at “Le Scribe-L’hamattan” where two of my paintings (The Three Ladies and charcoal) caught the attention and appreciation of many.
In July I participated in a competition organized by “Galerie Christian Siret” (134-137, galerie de Valois- Paris 75001) at the gardens of the “Palais Royal”. To my absolute surprise one of my paintings won the prize “signature” which entailed the opportunity to exhibit my future work at the “Palais Royal”.
